I was flipping through this month’s Vanity Fair to check out all the advertisements and came across a Louis Vuitton ad featuring Annie Leibovitz and Mikhail Baryshnikov.
The ad reads:
The Journey of a star, captured in a flash.
Annie’s Studio. New York.

Louis Vuitton is proud to support The Climate Project.
I found the last sentence really awkward. It’s as if they’re were saying: Come check out Annie and Mikhail at louisvuittonjourneys.com…oh and by the way we support the Climate Project. I didn’t feel like that comment had anything to do with the ad. Therefore, it made it feel even more insincere. It just felt like they added it as an afterthought just for the sake of showing philanthropy.
